Where quality “meats” your expectations
A butcher shop next to the temperature-controlled wine cellar allows guests to choose and buy the finest grain fed prime beef, wet and dry aged up to 28 days. All aged steak cuts can be vacuum packed, for that special braai in the Kruger or for the fire at home.
At Pioneer`s you can also purchase our special home made boerewors (which is also offered for tasting during dinner). Only traditional and tested recepies are used for the biltong and the boerewors – this alone is worthwhile stopping for at the Rendezvous Tourist Centre.
Our lamb and pork also are supplied by the Lowveld best abattoirs. Not only for that Lowveld braai, but should you wish to make a potjie or a stew during the colder winter evenings, there is oxtail, stewing lamb or venison on offer.
The Butchery is open from 10H00 until 09H00, Mondays to Sundays.
